ROLLERTOWN BEERWORKS’ NEW HEADQUARTERS IN FRISCO
FAQ
You’ve got questions? We’ve got answers. Scroll through the below Frequently Asked Questions to learn more about the new Headquarters we’re building in Frisco. Follow us on social media for more updates as we move forward.
Where does the name Rollertown come from?
For towns established in the late 1800s before the railroads were built, the founders of those cities could only guess where the railroad, the future lifeblood of these cities, might ultimately go. For small towns like Frisco and Celina, they founded their towns, built town squares, and built homes in one area only to later learn that the railroad would run through another area. They had a choice…they could stay put and see if they could try to survive, or they could go to the railroad and position themselves to thrive.
So some of the towns out there put their physical buildings up on rollers and pulled them through miles of wet fields with traction engines to where the railroad would ultimately be. They literally rolled their towns in order to provide themselves, their families, and their communities the best opportunities possible.
That’s where the name comes from. That life you want is right over there, so go make it a reality. All it takes is a little gumption, some audacity, and the willingness to take your shot.
Why are you expanding?
After expanding twice in under three years in our first location, we have simply outgrown our available space. We’re bursting at the seams and just can’t keep up with demand. It is a great problem to have…the people want our FRESH LOCAL BEER and we want to be able to provide it. So we need a lot more space for both production and events. As an example, just imagine if we had unlimited space for Sumo? That’s what’s up.
Why Frisco?
Frisco is an ideal location for our HQ (hey, its an ideal location for pretty much anything) because it is one of the finest cities in America. Along with being one of the best places to live in the country, Frisco is one of the most creative, forward-looking communities in the U.S. To that point, we will be joining some truly world-class neighbors like the Dallas Cowboys, the PGA of America, FC Dallas, the Rough Riders, the Dallas Stars, the Texas Legends, and Keurig Dr Pepper just to name a few. We look forward to being an excellent partner for the City of Frisco and an excellent teammate for her partners, institutions, and residents.
Also, location, location, location.
Where will the HQ be located in Frisco? What will be the role of the HQ?
Our new HQ will be situated on a prime 2.6+ acre Downtown tract located at the NE corner of Main Street & John Elliott Pkwy and featuring Frisco’s landmark silos. This large tract is ideal for hosting large-scale events, festivals, and concerts not to mentioned vastly expanded production. Our 11,000+ sq. ft. production facility will feature a new 60 BBL brew house capable of producing over 75K BBLs annually while our 13,000+ sq. ft. two-level indoor/outdoor Taproom, beer garden, and rooftop deck will be complemented by nearly 30,000 sq. ft. of outdoor green space featuring at least one large performance stage.
We’ll be a couple of blocks from Toyota Stadium and will anchor exciting Downtown Frisco development plans.
This new Rollertown HQ will serve as the cultural center of the brand and will propagate the Rollertown Dream - that every person has the power to “shoot their shot.” This hub will facilitate community engagement & enrichment while providing opportunities for like-minded folks by supporting local artists, creators, musicians, distillers, wine makers, home brewers and chefs to name a few. This new destination will be an inviting place for families, dogs, and beer nerds alike…a melting pot of diverse personalities, a catalyst for entrepreneurship and a springboard for opportunity with unmatched hospitality and world-class beer.
When will the new HQ open its doors?
We expect the design and construction process to take roughly 18-24 months. We’ll open this thing as quickly as possible because we understand we need to get the FRESH LOCAL BEER to the people. In the meantime, we will continue to bring you new and unique offerings and events in our existing Taproom. We’ll also be significantly expanding our distribution in the coming months so if you are interested in carrying Rollertown, please let us know!
Are there going to be any changes to the beer program- are the beers staying the same?
If anything, we’ll be adding serious variety and much more frequent news to our beer program. Tommy Miller will continue to oversee our much-expanded beer program while leading beer innovation and R&D. We have a great foundation of core beers in our lineup that will obviously be coming along for the ride. Our beer offerings will expand when the HQ comes online because our current system will be 100% devoted to innovation and new beers at that point. We also plan to expand barrel aged and bottle programs. And importantly, we will ramp up collaborations with other like minded DFW, Texas, national, and international breweries & brands.
What’s the HQ production facility going to be like? How is it different from your current one?
We will have a brand new beautiful 60 BBL brew house in our HQ along with a 7 BBL R&D and innovation system. This will allow us to meet consumer demand on our core beers while constantly launching new and innovative products for Taproom consumption. We want to get the beer to the people while offering new and exciting experiences for our guests at all times.
We will also be expanding our wine and spirits programs and will be launching new innovation in those spaces in the future.
Will there be a taproom at your new HQ? What about a kitchen? HQ brewery tours?
Our new HQ will feature a world-class, two-story, inside/outside Taproom with a rooftop patio that welcomes all. Our indoor hospitality space will be at least 13,000 sq. ft. with major green space of nearly 30,000 sq. ft. We will host the new and innovative events you’ve come to expect from Rollertown on a consistent basis.
We will definitely offer guided tours of our 11,000 sq. ft. production facility. We’ll also have a mechanism for self-guided tours. Stay tuned.
In terms of food, we will offer exceptional and ever-evolving food options that complement our beverage offerings. We’re planning to have a handful off always-on food options (from folks you already know and love). And we’ll have the ability to augment those options with food trucks and pop-ups as warranted. But you’ll never have to leave Rollertown to get incredible food.
Do you have images or renderings of the new Headquarters that you can share? What will it look like?
We are partnering with the City of Frisco on design and construction. We will work with our partners and stakeholders not only to build the brewery and entertainment destination of our dreams but to tailor the facility to our very special location in the heart of Downtown Frisco. This will be a very collaborative (and very exciting) process and you’re invited to join in the experience. We will be keeping folks in the loop on our progress via social media (follow us on IG) and will share updates there. We’ll also consistently posts updates our plans in our existing Taproom. Beyond that, we want to hear from you about what you want to see in our new HQ, so hit us up on social media and let us know.
What is Rollertown adding to Frisco?
Rollertown will be bringing a great local craft brewery to the heart of Downtown Frisco. There is so much going on in Frisco, we simply want to add to the greatness. Our intent is to create a world-class entertainment destination that fosters community and connection; we strive for inclusivity within the community and look forward to bringing local businesses and communities together via exceptional beverages and amazing, breakthrough, and enriching experiences.
If you’re getting a big new manufacturing facility, does this mean Rollertown will be available in more places across the metroplex?
Heck yeah it does. Rollertown will be expanding both our on and off-premise availability. We’ll begin by expanding our on-premise distribution (bars, restaurants, stadiums, etc.) starting immediately and and growing over the next 18-24 months. When we get our new production up and running at FHQ (Frisco Headquarters), we will begin to distribute to off-premise locations like grocery, liquor, and convenience stores.
Will the new HQ include an event space I can rent?
Absolutely. The new HQ will be a destination where you’ll want to hold events large and small.
Are Ben & Skin still involved with Rollertown? What about your other partners?
Yes! This is an expansion of the same dream that led us all to start Rollertown. Same squad. We’ll just be adding to this team as we continue to grow. If you are someone who wants to take your shot, get at us. We are going to be staffing up for this expansion.
What will happen to the current Taproom in Celina?
We will continue to operate our current Taproom, producing FRESH LOCAL BEER and putting on all the breakthrough events you’ve grown to love like Sumo wrestling, B-Boy Battles, concerts, German festivals, stand up comedy, etc., etc., etc. We’re just getting started with those.
And as you’ve seen, we have expanded our tapwall to include 20 taps. We have also expanded our offerings in the Taproom to include wine and spirits in order to offer a more inclusive menu for our guests.
Will you be opening even more Taprooms in the future?
We do not have plans to open more locations at this time.
When can we get Rollertown merch featuring Frisco?
Stay tuned for updated merch.
